Unlike foliar spray anti-transpirants, STASIS is drenched into the soil
with irrigation water. When contact with the root system occurs,
plants react and naturally raise their own ABA level (abscisic acid),
thus producing self-induced stomatal closing. Plants will stay in a
“drought-resistant” state for over two weeks or until normal watering
is resumed. STASIS treated plants have reduced sensitivity to stress
from drought, shipping, transplanting and storage.
STASIS is also more suitable for annuals and perennials than foliar
anti-transpirants. Once STASIS is applied no watering is necessary
until you wish to reactivate the plant. Watering plants under the
effects of STASIS will dissipate the benefits of the product and STASIS
will need to be reapplied. |
